Merge PDF files

Combine several PDFs into one file, right in your browser. Your documents never leave your device.

How your files are handled
  • Your files are opened and processed inside this browser tab. They are never uploaded, and this site has no server that could receive them.
  • The tool itself loads only from adawanglili.com when the page opens. After that, it works offline.
  • Closing the tab clears your files from memory. Nothing is kept except the files you choose to download.
  • These tool pages count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics only: the page address and loading speed, with no cookies. Your files and their contents are never sent to it.

Limitations

  • Saving creates a new PDF. Bookmarks and fillable forms are kept, but digital signatures are no longer valid.
  • To open a locked PDF, you need its password. New passwords use AES 128-bit encryption.
  • Scanned pages are images, so Read cannot extract their text.
  • Very large files depend on your device’s memory and can be slow on phones.
  • Works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.

    Merge

Every file you add is laid out end to end. Set the file order here, then fine-tune pages on the mat.

    File order
This replaces the current layout. Undo brings it back.

Add as many PDF files as you need and their pages appear in order on the mat. Change the order of whole files, drag single pages into place, rotate sideways scans or remove pages you don’t need. When it looks right, save one combined PDF.

      How to do it

      1. Click Add PDFs, or drop the files you want to combine.
      2. Set the file order in the Merge tab, or drag pages to reorder them.
      3. Click Save merged PDF. The new file is saved to your device.

      When merging helps

Some tasks ask for one file, but your documents are spread across several. A rental application often wants your ID, pay stubs, a job letter and references in a single PDF. A job application may ask for a CV, cover letter and portfolio in one upload. An expense report needs every receipt for the month in one place.

These are often the documents you least want to upload to a stranger’s server. They carry your address, your salary and your ID number. This tool merges them in your browser, so they never leave your device.

      Before you merge

Put the files in the order you want the reader to see them. Most people expect a cover page or summary first and supporting documents after it.

Check each file for pages you don’t need, such as blank scan pages or an extra signature page. You can delete them on the mat before saving, so you don’t need another tool first.

Mixed page sizes are fine. A letter page and an A4 page can sit in the same file, and each keeps its own size. Images are copied as they are, so nothing gets blurrier.

Bookmarks and forms come along. In the merged PDF, each file gets its own bookmark with its original bookmarks inside. Filled form fields keep their answers and can still be edited.

      Why your files stay private

Use it for documents you would rather not hand to a stranger: contracts, HR files, bank statements and tax forms.

Most free PDF sites send your document to their server and send a result back. This one does not. The page reads your file directly from your device, does the work in your browser with the open source libraries pdf.js and pdf-lib, and saves the result to your downloads. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to store. You can test it yourself: load the page, turn off your Wi-Fi, and every tool still works.

      Questions

How do I combine PDF files into one?

Add all the files, check the order, then click Save merged PDF. The pages are joined in the order shown on the mat.

Can I merge PDFs without uploading them?

Yes. That is the point of this tool. Your browser merges the files locally, so nothing is sent to a server.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

There is no fixed limit. The practical limit is your device’s memory. A laptop handles dozens of normal documents easily. A phone may slow down with very large files.

Does merging lower the quality of my PDF?

No. Pages are copied into the new file as they are. Images are not compressed again or converted, so they look exactly like the originals.

Can I merge only some pages?

Yes. Remove the pages you don’t want before saving, or select pages and use Split to extract them.

Are bookmarks and form fields kept?

Yes. Each file becomes one bookmark in the merged PDF, with its own bookmarks inside. Form fields stay fillable and keep what was typed in them. If two files use the same field name, the second one is renamed so both keep their own answers. Digital signatures are no longer valid in the new file, because any change to a signed PDF breaks the signature.

Can I merge password protected PDFs?

Yes, if you know the password. You will be asked for it when you add the file, and the merged PDF is saved without a password. Switch to the Protect tab afterwards if the merged file should be locked again.

Can I merge PDFs on my phone?

Yes. It works in current mobile Chrome and Safari. On a touch screen, use the move buttons to reorder pages instead of dragging.

Is it safe for contracts, HR files and financial documents?

Your files never leave your device, so nothing is stored on a server or seen by anyone else. That makes it a good fit for contracts, HR files, bank statements and tax forms. For extra peace of mind, turn off your Wi-Fi once the page has loaded.

Do I need to install anything? Does it work offline?

There is nothing to install and no account to create. Open the page in any recent browser. Once it has loaded, every tool keeps working without an internet connection.
