Why I Finally Started This Blog
A little corner of the internet for the things I am curious about, from AI and localization to hiking, technology, and whatever else catches my attention.
I’ve tried having a personal website before. There was MSN Spaces, then MySpace, and later WordPress, and none of them lasted very long. Life got busy, and I stopped writing, but I never quite lost the idea of having a little corner of the internet that was my own.
This time, I wanted to build it myself. I’m using Astro, with a lot of help from AI (Claude) along the way. I can describe what I want, experiment with the code, see what works, and keep changing things until the site feels like mine. I still make the decisions and do the testing. The difference this time is that AI makes it easier for me to turn an idea into something I can actually build.
That process is part of why I wanted to start writing again.
I’m curious about a lot of things: AI, localization and translation technology, software, work, travel, hiking, and whatever else happens to catch my attention. I don’t need all of them to fit neatly into one category.
More importantly, I want to keep a pace of documenting what I’m doing along the way. The experiments that work, the ones that don’t, the things I’m learning, and the thoughts that change as I learn more. Writing things down helps me slow down and see what I actually think.
I don’t know exactly what this blog will become, or how regularly I’ll write :)
For now, it’s simply a place to learn, experiment, think, and keep a record of the journey.
And that feels like a good reason to start.
